Leadership often appears glamorous, filled with authority and respect. However, the reality is that true leadership involves much more than meets the eye. Here are five secrets about leadership that nobody will tell you, drawn from my experiences in the fire service, military, and corporate world, and rooted in my seven catalysts for personal growth: passion, ownership, decisions, emotional control, resilience, faith over fear, and mental strength.

Many believe that being a leader means having power and control over others. The truth is, effective leadership is rooted in service. A great leader prioritizes the needs of their team above their own, working tirelessly to support, guide, and empower them.
